Man charged for harassing a member of staff

Published on 5 June 2020

No matter what your personal feelings are towards our safety camera vans, please do not be tempted to harass our camera operators. A male has recently been charged with a Public Order offence for causing alarm & distress to a member of staff.

There were 27,820 people killed or seriously injured in the year ending June 2019 across the UK. This compares to 26,724 in the year ending June 2018 and is a statistically significant increase of 4%.

Speed enforcement is therefore critical in reducing harm and saving lives and any harassment to any of our members of staff will not be tolerated and any offenders will face a criminal prosecution.
